District Discipline Policies/ Code of Conduct

Beaufort County School District is dedicated to meeting the educational needs of all students in a safe learning environment. The Code of Student Conduct is designed to promote this mission.

The Code of  Student Conduct provides specific information regarding expectations for students as well as consequences for violations of policies set forth in this document. The Code of Student Conduct describes our expectations for all students’ consistent and timely attendance, respect for people and property, appropriate dress, technology usage, student publications, student activities, student records, and the rights to appeal, including grievance procedures. Please review all information in the Code of Student Conduct carefully and discuss consequences of violating the rules. Students and parents are required to sign a statement indicating they have received their Code of Student Conduct booklet. We want to ensure all students are aware of the rules.

Education is too important to be the sole responsibility of schools. The success of school discipline depends upon a combined effort among home, school and community. We must have your support to succeed.

When you think we are right, please support us at home. When you think we are wrong, come to the school and discuss your concerns with us. By working together, we can achieve the goal all of us want – a safe, orderly school with quality education for your child.

We strive to educate today’s students for tomorrow’s world. Thank you for partnering with us. Best wishes for a fulfilling, engaging and safe school year.
